Boston - Italian North End

Posted by

When traveling to Boston, one must venture to the North end! This area is an Italian district that has the best dishes and pastries...ever!!!

On the perimeter of the North End is a beautiful public park called North Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.

The Italian district in the background serves as a beautiful back drop for a pose with the Ava lamp and Michael's daughter Jennifer.

One of the main streets, Hanover Street.

this is my favorite deli of all times! the olives and bread are amazing!

This pastry shop is another must go to. the cannolis are unbelievably delicious! You have your choice of fillings and shell. There's usually a line outside as you can see.

I love their pastry take out boxes! http://www.modernpastry.com/

In the midst of the wonderful Italian restaurants, delis and pastry shops is Paul Revere's home, who was an expert Silversmith! It was from this home he set out on his horse and road through the town making him a legend. This building is built in 1680 and the oldest building in Downtown Boston. This is a stop along the Freedom Trail if you want to tour the historical sites of Boston. I love the old lantern with the tow zone sign underneath it!

The pavers show the old colonial cobblestone against the newer brick roads. North End is a must for history buffs as well as food connoisseurs!
